Welcome to East Nashville Queer Parents!
The mission of this group is to provide a space for queer parents in East Nashville to meet each other so that we may offer friendship and support as we raise our children.
Parents of queer kids are welcome and encouraged to join us with their families because representation matters. Seeing queer parents can provide your child with examples of possibilities for their future! Those who are hoping/planning to become parents are also encouraged to join us because sometimes it take creativity and community support to overcome the obstacles of creating a queer family in an often hostile state. You don’t have to live in East Nashville to be a part of the group, but the majority of our events will be in that area.
The group currently meets monthly on Saturdays or Sundays at various locations in the neighborhood. Some of our goals include meetups for families with queer kids, parents’ night out events, activities for older kids, and single parent meetups. At this point, our locations are private for safety reasons, so be sure to sign up for our emails to get details about regular meetups as well as other special events.
We look forward to meeting you and your family!
